Battery life The SF8 transmitter works with a 1/3N battery with a 35-day life. The low battery detector will emit a double beep four days before the battery runs out.
Weight The transmitter weighs 9 grams when leg mounted and 9.7 grams when tail mounted.
Other characteristics The SF8 transmitter has a luminous LED that shows when the transmitter is on without turning on the receiver, which can be very helpful on night searches.
